Dramatic Before and After Photos- Staging and Color Consultation

Updated: Feb 21, 2020

It's always so exciting when a property sells, because as a stager, I can finally reveal the ever popular before and after photos. As a RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) member, I am held to the rules of conduct which state that before photos should not be shared until the property sale has closed.

Without further ado, here are the before and after staging & color consultation photos of a Santa Cruz one bedroom condo. I was thrilled to stage and take part in the design process. The end result was a modern, light and bright space that was clean and comfortable- and SOLD.

BEFORE:

To be competitive with the other units on the market, I suggested new stainless appliances, and selected window coverings, cabinet hardware, new carpeting, new lighting and new paint colors with the exception of the green kitchen cabinets which the home owner wanted to leave.

Choosing the right neutral paint was key, since the stone fireplace had pink undertones. It was important to choose a paint that didn't fight with those undertones. Selecting a neutral paint is tricky and it's important to get it right. Agreeable Gray by Sherwin Williams was the winner and it looked fantastic with the fireplace and the green cabinets. New carpeting and bathroom flooring were also selected to compliment the paint.

The navy/black wall in the bedroom (Inkwell Sherwin Williams) made for a lot of drama and made the home feel way more expensive than it did before we started. The transformation was stunning. The room didn't get enough light to paint all 4 walls so I opted to do a feature wall and it looked stunning.

AFTER STAGING, DESIGN AND COLOR CONSULTATION:

When it was all said and done, the homeowner left me a fantastic review on yelp, which I truly appreciate.

"Ashley did a great job selecting paint colors and carpeting as well as beautiful staging to help sell our rental condo quickly. She was absolutely on time with everything she said she was going to do and the final staging looked so good I had second thoughts about selling! She was very easy to work with and I would definitely work with her again." Paul L.
