Before and After Beach House

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

It's just so fun making BIG changes with paint, flooring, finishes and staging. It's not quite instant gratification, but it's close! Check out these amazing before and after pictures on our video. (Video down below as well) When you look at these photos, you can see why the house was easier to sell and for more money than it would have sold for without the cosmetic changes that were made. Plus we left this house much better than when we started. It feels really good making houses beautiful - one house at a time.

Before the house was dark and dated. We left it light, bright and stylish.

WHAT WE DID:

  • New paint inside and out. How do we nail our colors? We use giant (9x15) peel and stick color swatches by Samplize. Click the link to check it out. -We painted the wood railings in the entry to update the look. -We chose neutral light and bright colors for the interior. It really brightened up the house and went much better with the tile inside. -On the exterior we did not box the entire deck out in white trim and that really bumped up the cub appeal. -We also painted the front doors black. A Zillow study shows that houses with black front doors sell for an average of $6,000 more!

  • We regrouted the entry tile. We went from brown to cream and it looks so much cleaner.

  • New Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring on both living spaces of the house, plus kitchen and hall bath. Having one continuous floor upstairs instead of of three really joined the kitchen and living spaces together even though there is a staircase between them.

  • Landscaping- we removed overgrowth, put in a focal point near the entry, mulched and power washed hard surfaces.

  • Staging. The staging pulls it all together and makes for great listing photos and showings.
