HOW TO PULL OFF A WHITE ROOM- 5 DESIGNER TIPS

Do you love a WHITE ROOM? Ever try creating your own and find that it didn't look as good as you hoped? Maybe even a little boring? Here are some tips to help you pull off this DREAMY TREND.

  1. Don't stick to only one shade of white. MIX a few shades: Bright whites and warm whites like ivory/cream, gray whites...

  2. TEXTURE! The texture of wood floors or a natural fiber looking carpet help this look work. In addition to the flooring. Add furnishings and accessories with TEXTURE: baskets, cane furnishings, natural wood, fringe, rugs, nubby or linen textured fabrics, gauzy drapery, etc. Use different paint textures on the walls and trim.

  3. LAYER your accessories for a rich look. Layered bedding, throws, rugs, and more.

  4. PLANTS (real or faux). Greenery pulls together a room like nobody's business.

  5. Add a POP of black &/or a neutral gray as an accent color

White Room Before- Not too exciting.

A warm white room with layered bedding, cane headboard and a white desk in the background.
White Room After- It's warm and wonderful. Notice the white walls, wood flooring, multi white color layered bedding, wool rug, woven pouf, cane headboard, wood framed art, pops of black, glossy lamps, textured accent pillows and house plants. This mix makes this room feel beautiful warm and not boring.

Gauzy curtains, plants, brass lamp, and baskets make this room cozy and inviting.
